Das Pokémon Thema ist das erste Opening zum Anime. Es wird für die gesamte erste Staffel verwendet und hat eine Laufzeit von 60 Sekunden. Auch in Das Versprechen ist es am Ende der Folge zu hören. Die Vollversion hat eine Laufzeit von 3 Minuten und 15 Sekunden (195 Sekunden). Eine neu eingesungene Version wird auch als Opening in Pokémon - Der Film verwendet. Im Englischen heißt dieses Opening „Pokémon Theme“ und wurde von Jason Paige sowie im ersten Film von Billy Crawford gesungen.
